Progressive Alternative Country Rock from Deep in the Heart of Texas.
is a place where the sign reads, "No Boots Required".
Story behind the song
I needed a original song to play on my new 12-string, I started writing this for Terry Clark.
Lyrics
ALRIGHT
Lookin' back on all our years, experienced joy, but, more often tears
The end is near I fear
Still, in our vows we said better or worse, but, since that day we've must've been cursed
It feels like dyin' of thirst
*and Lately it's unlike before... For sure... *
At the start we seemed alright, but, now a days we constantly fight
Sometimes late into the night
So, round and round the love wheel rolls, when it breaks, god only knows
Unless it's broken from word go
*and We're stuck here, unlike before... It takes so long to even the score*
Maybe it's time for a change
Still, it's hard to walk away
Seems there's nothing left to gain
That'll have to be alright
Yea! it hurts when you swallow your pride, but, there's no truth in livin' a lie
Let's throw the towel and take a dive
If nothing more, at least we've tried, what shoulda been dead with no chance to survive
Has made use old, but, wise
*see, We're stuck here unlike before and to the point it don't make since anymore*
And the feelin's, still inside
Are more hurtful than those we do not hide
And have begun to rear their head...
This is what I dreed
Become so far gone to turn back
When I still love you let's part on that
So, in a quest for peace...
Let's take time out... For a chance to really breathe
-Lead Break-
( Let's take a chance to really breath !!! )
And make sense of why we could never be, one last time together we'll cry
And wipe the tears, from each others eyes
We can't share a house if it's not a home, nothing we do makes it right
And if we have to live alone, that'll have to be alright...
and It'll be alright !!!...
If we take a chance to really breathe...
