Songs that appear in my head out of thin air. Guitar-focused mostly.
Story behind the song
I had written the music to a song two years ago, and before I had lyrics to them, I called the song "Tiny dancer", cause I had written the music inspired by "Rebel Yell" by Mr Billy Idol. However, the lyrics I wrote then were very much influenced by the Afghanistan war and the song titled was changed to "Receptional Perversion".
Inspired by a picture of someone's feet, though, I decided I had to write a song that is actually called 'Tiny Dancer'.
Lyrics
I saw you dancing in the moonlight hall
I saw you tripping, saw you fall
I saw you tearing your dress apart
I saw you smearing all of your lipstick
I saw you dancing to the sound
Of others looking to the ground
And I knew you’d be my tiny dancer
Tiny dancer push me back
Tiny dancer with red gown rack
Tiny dancer with flaming eyes
Tiny dancer won’t hear my lies
Tiny dance with a sickly smile
Tiny dancer with a blurry style
Tiny dancer will always be my
Tiny dancer
Tiny dancer with your head in the clouds
Tiny dancer don’t need no doubts
Tiny dancer take my hand
You know there ain’t no promised land
Tiny dancer in the sunshine hall
Tiny dancer with feet so small
And everyone knows you’re my
Tiny dancer
Tiny dancer with snakey hair
Tiny dancer in her favourite lair
Tiny dancer won’t run away
Tiny dancer I made you stay
Tiny dancer with feet off the ground
Tiny dancer tonight we can’t be found
And I’ll be forever your
Tiny dancer
