Lyrics
Be Here I Am (Part II) Cabernet, dirty glass To walk on by is still a pass Our meeting’s been brief but we can still relate Open mouth, rubber stamp Feel your way by the light of a lava lamp My arrows may not be true but they’re always straight Drive is for people lacking authentication I am your lover I am your lover Right is left, left is right The middle ground is too polite The voice of the masses drowning out in cheers Countersink, counter weight If you breathe you hesitate One thing is certain—you’ll never know my fears Space is for people longing for admiration I am your leader I am your leader Joy and pain, waste of time To show my scars would be a crime The unkindest cut is the one I give myself Ash to ash, dust to rust I cannot break though I know I must To the human touch I bid a fond farewell Love is for people without imagination I am your leper I am your leper music and lyrics: Jay Youngless ©2005 Oldmore Music/ASCAP All rights reserved.
