Story behind the song
This song was recorded in the Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin, Éire.... As with all of the IUMA Jams, it's a "one take" improve - warts and all.... The idea behind this piece was to demonstrate to a pal the fun that can be had when messing with parallel modulation and melodic substiution.... The slightly serious side to this was to show how much tonal variety can squeezed out of a very simple chord progression that is - essentially - in only one key..... and for those of you that are good at this sort of thing, you'll know that I'm just scratching the surface....
