Welcome! I am a singer/songwriter of different styles of Christian and Country Music....Enjoy the message I bring, and may your heart be ministered to.
Hello! I'm very glad you stopped in to listen and visit. :) The message I carry is simply this...Jesus loves you and I do too. Hope you enjoy what you hear, and get a blessing from the music, as God does not give His people gifts to just set them upon the shelf, and never be used. I'm only as good as the Lord helps me to be, and I'm thankful for the blessings He has bestowed upon me. I'm NOT perfect, never claimed to be; but on the other hand, I have a message to minister in song, and I do that to the best of my ability. I fully realize there are many songs I demo here that don't fit my style/voice, but I can't run out and get a singer that fits everytime I write a song. :) What I write or cover comes from the heart. I've endured many hard trials in my life, and each one has, in one way or the other made its way into a song that others can relate to. All of my songs except for noted exceptions are free downloads. I'm not a professional by any means, nor am I interested in becoming one; and so the music is given away just as freely as the message was given to me. Story behind the song
I'm a truck driver riding the roads, doing my job; and most times the CB gets on my nerves. :) But there was one day I turned it on because I was stuck in a traffic jam, and listened to the various men talking about chasing women amongst other things. What I kept hearing was "I can't help what I am", and "can't help it." A great many of these men were married. I'm married, too, but hold to a higher standard, which is tied to a moral code I live by; each and every day. I'm non-judgemental for the most part, understanding that I don't have to account for what others do or don't do, but as I considered what I'd heard, the lyrics for this song began coming and I began writing. And so, this is how this song came about.
Lyrics
Would You? Written, arranged and performed by Tammy Swindell Jesus came to this earth, in the form of a man; Bringing to pass what His Father had planned. Forty days were spent, in fasting and prayer; Then along came the devil to tempt Him there. Satan tried everything to make Jesus fall, From using God's Word, to offering it all. Jesus stood firm, and pushed it all away. An example of goodness, that stands til this day. (chorus) Chorus For a man can stand, and not fall in a pit. Those that say they can't help it; Their minds are set... On doing what they want to do; I wouldn't want to walk in their shoes.... Would You? In this day and time, the Godly are few; Not many will walk; the path that is true. But the end of this road, for those who've answered His call; The blessings are great, for the man who doesn't fall. (chorus) Bridge: Why don't you think 'bout what you're doing before you run? There are consequences for the sin that you've done! (chorus)
