Strapped to the gurney and rolling down the hall, Every Other Fate is the band one would hum before the electroshock treatments. As a furious and prosaic math/prog band, Every Other Fate redefines the standards of modern progressive music following the direction of such bands as The Mars Volta, Muse and Coheed and Cambria. Whoopsy Magazine calls this Austin-based quartet "a relentless and disarming emo-math-rock mosaic.

Story behind the song
it is a concept album that flows in movements along a storyline. it tells the story of man struggling against technology and the quest for meaning and enlightenment. the entire album is a wrenching struggle through emotion and insanity that leads the listener into the unknown of the beyond.
Lyrics
When morning comes we'll find the time To figure out that evening star. This light display could measure up And fill my days not half asleep. Check the alarms Check the papers Check the TV and I'm awake now. Shake your thoughts and eyes of sleep. But it's over now. This highway was crashing My whole world is coming down. To see the wreckage and I could just tear this world apart, But it wouldn't make it better, So I take this pill tonight, take a deep breath but I'm not quite sure this time. This wasn't always my desire. The highway's down, the subway's down, and we're all burning alive. To see the wreckage and I could just tear this world apart, but it wouldn't make it better. So I pack my bags this time, but I'm not quite sure if I'll be coming home. It's over now.
