One man, many genres. Specialising in ambient, downtempo, trance, breakbeat and others.
Formerly of . Solo work is back on track, and 2005 saw a number of productions after a fairly dismal 2004 which saw a total system failure, and the resultant loss of *all* of my music, starting from around 1997. It was a painful year or so, but I've actually grown as a musician from the experience. So far, 2007 has been a prolific year, finishing two full albums (which will be available to buy at some point, hence why the taster tracks are not downloadable), called Bioluminescence and Contact. Outsource/Virii is on hiatus (read: not coming back) at the moment. Both Nik and I are too busy with our respective solo projects and other collaborations (such as Nik with Al Azar) to spend time doing work which was a compromise between our different styles. I guess we may produce something every now and then, such as our last collaboration - "A Dirty Shame" under the guise of Cat In A Can.

Story behind the song
It was formed from two note arrangements of the same sound patch from Reason 3.0 - both sounded good in the track (and are subsequently in), but didn't work together. So, in order to do this, I ended up splitting the track down the middle in its original incarnation a few months back in order to accommodate them both. I eventually came back to this a week or two ago (from when this was written - 14/10/05) and decided to work it from the ground up again, removing deadwood from the piece, and adding new ideas. This basically culminated in it being a 2 minute intro piece, followed by a three minute, almost totally separate, piece. Except for the fact that most of it is the same throughout, of course (in that the drums in the first piece are simply the same ones in the second run through a filter). As is my usual style, it is designed primarily for my enjoyment, so it might not be to anyone elses taste - but if it is, let me know.
