God has a purpose for each and every one of us. Our calling is to seek his will. Share with me on my journey to discover God in truth and reality. I dont pretend to have the answers, but Im sure having fun asking the questions. After all, if Gods wisdom is foolishness to man, then I think Id rather be a fool. Story behind the song
This song was written whilst I contemplated how the glitz of 'X'mas was taking over Christmas and I wanted to focus on just how humble an entrance into our world Jesus had.
Lyrics
Can you tell me why a manger was a cradle for a king? Can you tell me why a cross became his throne? Can you tell me what the shepherds saw, As angels bid them, "Come!" To the lowly manger where the child was born? No royal palace doors. No regal jewelled robes. Just a mother huddled homeless in the hay. And I wonder if God was born this Christmas time Would He share warmth of richness power and wealth? Would He hide His face away from the cruelty of this world? Or would a manger be a cradle for the King Would a manger be a cradle for the King? Can you tell me, in the poverty of our forsaken world, People still believe a star will lead them home? Can you tell me why technology can send us into space, Yet we still can't soothe the aching of our hearts? The angels still say, "Come! To find the royal throne." Not in selfishness, but all embracing love. And I wonder if God was born this Christmas time Would He share warmth of richness power and wealth? Would He hide His face away from the cruelty of this world? Or would a manger be a cradle for the King Would a manger be a cradle for the King? If I had been that shepherd boy who'd heard the angels, Would I leave my world behind? Would I choose to believe, The creator of the world was lying there? And I wonder if God was born this Christmas time Would He share warmth of richness power and wealth? Would He hide His face away from the cruelty of this world? Or would a manger be a cradle for the King Would a manger be a cradle for the King?
