Craig O'Manion is an unwilling poet who happened to come along in an age of electric guitars and his introverted career and deep lyrics that often weave themselves around in circles have always kept him at odds with popular notions about how a rock musician should sound, act and live. His 400+ songs have spanned several years playing as a solo artist and in The Beavers and before that Frictional Mission. Craig O'Manion sang lead, played guitar and wrote for Georgia bands The Beavers and Frictional Mission. This site is an overview of both The Beavers, Frictional Mission and some of his solo recordings.

Lyrics
"I've always lived on a wing and a prayer and little bit of luck and a few good friends. Yeah I know it's been a rough road but somehow I don't think that's what'll matter in the end. Did we listen? (When) somebody said they don't feel so good? Did we watch our step? And only walk on the ground like we should? I've never been into a fling from a stare from a happenstance by a singles bar. Yeah I really wanna know your middle name I want to think that I know who you are. And I'll try to listen and I'll try to be so good 'cause when you turn and walk away I want you to think that you've been understood. I've never marched to the beat of a drum from a field full of drummers wearing uniforms. I may not know where I'm going right now but that doesn't mean I have to conform But I'm gonna listen I'm gonna try to understand and if you point to the spot I'll try to be right there when you land. As the afternoon - rolls on into the night I'm gonna slow it all down, and check to see that everyone is alright.
