Unsettling love songs, introspection, depression, and the resignation--and celebration--of life. Nick Cave, Brian Eno, Radiohead major influences.
Listen to my songs! That's what I'm here for. I lifted my hand from hers and with hesitation slowly ran it through her hair. Up, around her ear, a sweep of her earlobe, and then on to her neck. Her hand, still on my leg, moved slowly back and forth. Her eyes still closed, she said softly ?Tell me what you?re thinking.? Her voice was plaintive. She wants me to tell her what to think. I could tell her everything, but nothing is appropriate. Should I lighten the situation with humor? Something random? That bees have five eyes? That she was to be my first kiss?

Story behind the song
A song about a deceased relative, confronting mortality. After my grandmother's death, I looked out of my window and wrote this song in the dark.
Lyrics
the parking lot looks like a graveyard i'm six feet under the blizzard passes over standing in the dark my waning shadow falls lonely and cold the snuffing of the sun; and i remember her
