Story behind the song
Partly inspired by a true story, partly inspired by music (including but not limited to "A rose is still a rose" by Aretha Franklin, and various rap songs including but not limited to Black Girl Lost and Keep your head up by Tupac and Nas respectively. This song is my first attempt to do audio story telling. this is also my favorite piece thus far. i was actually pleased when I finished it. Technically not done, I gotta put more polish, but on my equipment there is little polish to put.
