I am grilly; all these musics were written and multi-tracked by me, except where i say. i don't try and do any style of song in particular - largely, though, i make song-based tunes, consisting of guitar music augmented with the aid of my multi-track computer. so quite normal, then. i have prog and electronica tendencies as well, and i'd best describe my music as::: prog-pop.

Story behind the song
laurence said i should write a sequel to love called sex, and it got me thinking. i remembered the line in ugly kid joe's 'everything about you', "...i think sex is overrated, too", and i took my cue from that - it could be my 'the man don't give a fuck'. i did the fruity loops track first and then, while working on a cover of (ironically enough)'showbiz kids' came up with the guitar riff, which i decided was different enough to use on my own song (although i obviously don't have any qualms about using other people's material) the lyrics, despite being short and made up quickly during the recording session, are absolutely true, and having that dream (again) spurred on the action considerably. the only artistic licence is the line 'last time i made love..'. this was actually merely a blow job that made me feel nauseous. it was a really wierd experiance, beyond or outside pleasure, i'm not sure. this is the only time i have been brought to orgasm in the last six or seven years, so it was pretty memorable. if things change i'll let you know (probably in the form of a very happy song). i kind of regret that 'sex' is slightly underbaked, but i just can't be bothered to polish that turd. yes, some variation in the drum loops or a break beat or two would be fun, but it was never a 'real song' anyway. maybe what i don't realise is that it could have been, if i'd have made the effort.
