Hi my name is Shaun Friedman and I've been "making beats" seriously since I was 16 yrs old. Making a beat to me is putting down my thoughts, emotions, and feelings in a different kind of way. These beats can be great for song writers and lyricists who want to write about something real. On the flip side, I always make it a point to vary my styles and make tracks that vary in Tempo, arrangment, and instruments. When I'm creating a beat I use sounds from all across the world. I try to bring to life every instrument I use. I try to use each drum hit and instrument in a unique way, and attempt to instill a level of emotion in each track. Each track I make has it's own individual feel. I usually like putting down a drum track, then adding a bass line and other instruments. Trumpets, harmonicas, Sitars, Hip Hop Drums, Orchestra, .WAV Sample Files from the Internet, Ethnic Kits, Sound effects, synthesized bass and guitar bass are all fair game. Any sound I hear can be used in it's own way to "make a beat," or in other words form a complete composition. Music is my passion.
