Chris and Drew, a husband & wife songwriting team, got together in January 2000. Drew had been a singer/guitarist/songwriter playing in various bands since the mid 80's. Chris had just started writing lyric's when they got together in 2000. The first song they wrote together was "Dreams Do Come True" and they progressed from there. Chris also provides backing vocals on some tracks, although she does not proclaim to be a singer, she preffers writng lyrics. The main goal for Chris & Drew, is to get their music published for other well known artists to perform, this would surely be a dream come true. Dedicated to our songwriting as well as each other.

Story behind the song
About 6 weeks ago Christine, Andrew and I were chatting on the phone about the upcoming Christmas and how excited we would be when seeing each other again. Suddenly a light flashed in Christines Spirit and she said with even more excitement Why dont we make a track for Christmas. She went on to suggest that we try and show what both Christmas and being part of this Band of Brothers & Sisters means to us. Due to lifes busyness on all our parts, this subject was not really discussed for another 3 weeks, when I suddenly mailed my first skeletons of a musical version of the piece. Something had spurned me to just start about 2 days previous and in honesty, at this point everything flowed out with ease. So Chris n Drew sought of heard it out of the blue and from there we went into overdrive on the discussion front. Christine was explaining that time was so tight up till Christmas that it was harder to find than Peace in our lifetime. Then she made the mistake of asking me to come up with some lines for the lyrics which she and Andrew could work on, in order to save timeto which I wrote a small novel, lol. After choosing the lines to be used, they went to town and did their bit, not only adding and mixing all the lyrics that they chose, but also adding to the track those lovely tinkle bells. Putting the icing on the cake has not been easy for them with all the time issues, but after much worry and hard work, they not only iced the cake, but I believe they added everlasting candles and all it needs is for you is to light them and hopefully youll see what it is we have before us.. One more point about the flow of this songs fruition is Andrew would normally do the artwork, like he did on Lifehood, as it is another of his fortes. Time has always been the issue thats against us and suddenly an answer that was already there, spoke again to Christine. Mike recently sent me a picture with NiP added and this picture means more than a little to me, much more. In short form I was looking at a card in a place that soothes my soul on a Wednesday afternoon very recently and told the lady there that one card in particular was my favourite and this next bit proves to me for certain, that this song was meant to be. The night of the Thursday I received a mail from Mike Fink (ASM Studios) and to my amazement he had sent the exact picture that was on the card of the previous day. Now if all this doesnt prove all the bonds between us are unbelievably strong and that special things happen when our hearts join, then I for one dont know what it would take to convince me that something special this way comes. One tight Gathering between Spirits is the joy we behold here at POP and our lights shine not only at Christmas, but all the year through. The Spirit of Christmas sums up to us as this - Love your fellow man and especially so, to let them know that they warrant the Love you feel, because we dont tell our fellow man that enough at all.
