Story behind the song
The beat had a west coast vibe and kind of listing my influences and with the lyrics I wrote ... it kind of matched I think. Has a pretty easy riding vibe with some pretty witty stuff.
Lyrics
Influences By Da Famous 1ne so many people influence me, whether it be musically, physically, mentally, in whatever form it be, in whatever time of day it always carries me, through the pressure and pain or if I’m going insane, in the brain like Cypress Hill, for real, I’d try to think about my good days, the kind that always has me, laid back in my room or on the porch just feeling the cool breeze, living in 80 degrees, warm climates and big waves mixed with music so simple, with ukuleles to strum, kick back chillax time, with a sun still that shines, dope beats and dope rhymes, half the time listening to Little Brother on the dime, or even a joint about the The Journey of life, like on the Project 808 shit, local scene never wasted, I face it everyday head on, like Trapt I stay Headstrong, With my influences help to go on, from local Hawaiian stuff to Golden Age Hip-Hop, to even Rock N Roll music, man, it’s never enough, like Slim Shady or just Marshall for short, even dance music, with DJ Sammy on the turntables, or Aesop Rock spittin fables and such, to Talib Kweli, giving that Beautiful Music, listen to roots, the classics from Bob to Peter Tosh, to Reggae with the Heritage *echo* Oh my God To dope instrumentals from AD, The Kemist, 9th and Nicolay, those always brighten my days, no Silly Love Song like Sean Jay, this a track listing my influences down from Nalo Country to the world, break it down. HOOK From Little Brother to Dennis Pavao From Olomana to Marley they got Beautiful sounds, they influence me (2x)
