GO TO ! Bombs and Beating Hearts is an acoustic guerrilla folk punk band from SLC that was started sometime in the fall of 2004. We play acoustic because it costs less, we can set up anywhere, it's less to worry about, it sounds awesome, and it's very important to us for people to be able to understand our lyrics. We are striving to help make punk a fucking threat by provoking thought, tearing down walls, and pushing the fun and inspiration that music can bring into unexpected places.

Story behind the song
another band once did this song. they told us it was a joke song. so, we stole it. no, it's not a cover. it's a folk song. folk songs are handed down from generation to generation. or used by multiple people/bands to spread a message.
Lyrics
BABYWEREBIGGERANARCHISTSTHANAGAINSTME thru the best of times, thru the worst of times, thru nixon and thru bush. u remember '36? we we went our seperate ways. u fought for stalin, i fought for freedom. u believe in authority, i believe in myself, im a molotov octail, ur the don perignon. baby, what's that confused look in ur eyes? what im tryin to say is that i'll burn down buildings while you sit on a shelf inside of them. you call the cops on the looters and pie throwers. you call it class war i call it co conspirators. cuz baby im an anarchist, ur a spineless liberal, we marched together for the 8 hr day and held hands in the street of seattle. but, when it came time to throw bricks thru that starbuck's windows u left me all alone. eating the peanuts that the partys have tossed u in the back seat of your father's new ford. you believe in the ballot, believe in reform. you have faith in the elephant and jackass, and to u solidarity is a 4 letter word. we're all hypocrites, but ur a patriot. u thot i was only joking when i was screaming "kill whitey!" at the cops in their cars and the men in their suites. no, i won't take ur hand and marry the state.
