Story behind the song
this is a really rough demo that i recorded quickly because i wanted people to hear it. i'll re-record it hopefully in the near future.

there's a girl who swallowed her own pain her whole life
and no one had the answers and nothing made it right
so she searched for something better and believed that she was wrong
'cause nothing fit and nothing fixed her or made her belong
and everyone they tell her that she'll end up okay
"just hold on a little longer and it'll be okay"
but it's so hard to believe when it never comes true and you're not there
and she's not there and you're not there, but they still say
"take it easy"
there's a boy who hid his light under a busshel his whole life
he wouldn't let it shine, was told "don't let it shine"
and "maybe happiness just isn't for you, you've got to suffer in silence so He'll be glorified"
and no one had the answers
and no one saw the tears cried into pillows for things that would not resolve
so he became determined to find the answers for himself
and decided Love was more important than a light up on a shelf
but it's not easy
no one has the answers from constant conversations
about wrong and right, do and don't and all the inbetweens
and no one has the answers to hurts that will not mend
all of life's unfairness and the ignorance of men
and i don't have the answers, all i know is this:
hold what makes you happy and let the rest slide from your fists
'cause life can be so beautiful
but it's much too short to waste
on people who don't get you and doing things you hate
so Love deep and strong, the kind of Love that will redeem
and look them in the eye and tell them what you mean
