Hi! This is Charlie B., singer, songwriter, and guitar player for the band Freudian Press. I now play in the band The Sage Experiment. We play the Freudian Press catalog, and more! You can follow me at http://www.facebook.com/sageexperiment Freudian Press started in 1994, performing regularly for audiences in the midwest. The band has gone through a number of line-up changes over the years, and has gone from an acoustic-only band with two hand percussionists to an all-electric band with a set drummer.... all the while featuring both classic rock covers and my original songs. I am a self-taught musician, thus the reason for my playing a right-handed guitar upside-down, as a lefty. I have written and performed more than 50 original songs to date. I am also a published poet, and design and draw posters for Press shows. With a catalog of over 100 cover songs in addition to my original compositions, I'm never lacking material, and have performed in Freudian Press shows that lasted in excess of 5 hours. I am currently still writing, and recording sessions are in the works. The live songs presented on this site were all recording using a hand-held camcorder, and the studio songs were recorded in small home studios or in makeshift basement setups.

Lyrics
Sometimes I think, well, this is it When the days of the week and I don't fit I wander out the door alone Many miles from my home And the neon makes the street look like it was a warm summer's day But it's thirty five degrees and you're still seven miles away You force a smile every once in a while for the people that you meet But your feet were cold as the sun rose And a new day had begun Sure hopes it's better than the last one I'm feeling like I've walked for days And a few miles back, I lost my way And the neon makes the street look like it was a warm summer's day But it's thirty five degrees and you're still seven miles away You force a smile every once in a while for the people that you meet But your feet were cold as the sun rose So you sit down to rest your bones At a little place on the side of the road You found yourself a cure for sin Then stagger out the door again And the neon makes the street look like it was a warm summer's day But it's thirty five degrees and you're still seven miles away You force a smile every once in a while for the people that you meet But your feet were cold as the sun rose over you
