An instrumental with a haunting feel
singer songwriter brown karl
Singer/songwriter from Britain, I use my varying influences to try and create a new sound; Folk-Metal. I've been playing guitar for about three years, starting out playing The Shadows, but have added a lot to my setlist of covers, as well as having an ever growing number of original pieces.

Story behind the song
This piece is really just another one of my moments playing guitar, letting whatever feels like being played being played. If there were to be a story behind it, it would be the constant needless bloodshed around the world - yet, strangely, that bloodshed is more often than not preceeded and followed by extended periods of calm. In any conflict. The title comes from the feeling of artillery fire periodically hitting the trenches in WWI, whilst most of the time there was a dead, eery calm.
