All the good things that being a bitch can bring.
After eight years in a tiny town in Idaho, ten more years in a small religious town in northern Arizona, one severe mental breakdown (and one small one), and a whole bunch of weird yet somehow fun stuff in-between, Orin needed to bust out. But pay no attention to her, she's just the one behind the real start--Nightshade, a Fender Stratocaster with a winning bitch attitude that almost rivals Orin's. Alright, so people who write about themselves in the third person are kinda creepy. But what more do you want from me? A website? Okay. Stop by http://www.sephain.com for a fun time... or something. There's always more info and music at http://www.geocities.com/wickedorinmusic/orinmusic.html as well.

Story behind the song
...Well, I really hadn't meant for this to happen. I mean, I'm really happy with the results, but... wow. I never saw these lyrics coming. It is what you think it's about... but it's about more, too. If that made any sense. I started off with a simple three chord song... and it got away from me. (As for the "bite me, Bon Jovi" part... well, I like the music from 80's and even a little 90's era Bon Jovi. But I don't like it when a band tries to convince me they've always been "in the trenches" or "started from the bottom". Lies. Bullshit. Bite me. *grin*)
Lyrics
It's been funny lately So many people think They have control I grew up In a small town I found out quickly I was too big I grew up happy As happy as I could be Then the kids at school, they told me All about me I was a freak I was an outcast, in my time May sound quite simple but Back then it was on my mind Well I'm still a freak And I'm still an outcast to all of you Guess that goes to show How many of you were true It's remarkable, that change When you take the time to see It's remarkable, that change When you take the time with me Open your eyes Open your eyes Open your eyes Open your eyes It's remarkable, that change If you took the time to see It would be remarkable, that change If you took the time with me I'm not dying, inside You can't make me feel your pain And I'm not crying, inside I refuse to play your game This is my life And I'll play it how I want it This is my life You mean nothing to me This is my life I'm a rock star with a heart of gold (Well, alright Maybe not that gold part But at least I have a fuckin' heart At least I have a fuckin' soul Bite me) This is my life You can't take that from me This is my life I can't help it if I'm happy
