Story behind the song
I have a terrible memory, and while I mean no harm, this song is my fear of where that could lead.
Lyrics
There’s a way to put things right. I found your photograph last night. And on the other side you wrote, "This is the best day of my life" with little stars about the i’s. I had your number in a book up on a shelf next to the things you took. There’s a lesson and it serves as a reminder that we’re only passing by before we’re gone. And on a sorry note I can’t forget myself. This must be the Heartbreak Lost & Found. Was it a memory you hid? I took for granted all the little things you did. They say the world is small, but I’m not buying that at all. I lost my heart in old familiar ways.
