One man recording the cobwebs of his mind; Shall we listen in?
One man singer-songwriter musician. Included here are songs written as far back as the late seventies, up to and including the present day. Four of the songs were recorded in the late 90's and make up an EP called Skies. Other albums include A Man Alone from 2002, and The World At Large from 2005. Since then, songs have been released singly as they've been completed. A new album is now available - Tales Of Love And Defiance (talesofloveanddefiance.com)

Story behind the song
Written around '94 or so, this is a embellished version of my first trip to England with my future wife. We travelled extensively around the country, and I wrote about it as if we were spies on the lam. Can you spot the reference to another, more famous song about two people travelling? (it's very subtle). This is probably one of my favourite originals. Originally recorded on my Venerable TASCAM 144 Portastudio, this is an all new version. Buy the CD!
Lyrics
Pack your bags and get them in the car cause soon we'll have to go Time is running out on us we can't afford to be this slow And no one, better get in our way or else there's going to be a row Grab the rest and we'll fly away I think I hear the sirens now Check the tickets one more time for me that conductor had a funny smile Do you feel the train begin to move at last I think we'll be alright awhile Then maybe, we can get some rest before they figure out we're gone Who's that in the gabardine vest You'd better keep those glasses on Hiding out from a world above that tries to break a lonely heart Here we are still running for love together we can never part Stick together we can never part Let's run back to that shop you saw be careful when you cross the street The storm has made it hard to see and we'll try to get a bite to eat There's someone, standing next to the door looking out past the rain Why don't we pass on this store I hear the sirens once again
