HEY... a little update. The stuff I have been putting out there for "jacker" has been things I have worked on alone in my home studio. But now I have been working on some new songs, which I hope to have ready soon, and on top of that I have been neglecting my home recording and songwriting lately because I have been working with a bluesband in Oslo for the last year or so. I will post the band (right now, for the last 12 years their name has been "Sagene Lunsjband" but I hope they will change it to something a little more international, a little more "bluesy". I will post here, and our original songs on Soundclick soon.

Story behind the song
To anyone interested in mixdown or mixing music. The lead guitar solo in this song I tweaked until I got exactly the sound I wanted in the mix. Months later, I was listening to the song again and soloed the lead guitar accidentally. I was amazed.It sounded tiny, tinny, weak, it was breaking up. I was sure I picked the wrong virtual track. But then I brought up the rest of the song around it and suddenly it gets the (more or less) velvety overdrive you hear. I kept playing with bringing the rest of the mix down (lousy sounding crap guitar) and up again (rich melodious tone). This is why you never want to buy a stomp box without trying it other than solo. And the best reason to get that tone "in the mix". I had previously never heard that guitar tone solo.
