Paranormal paranoia paired with acoustic accoutrements, inordinate insecurity, sets of self-depracation, and pop playfulness combined with a wee bit o creativit
Don't Let That Horse is Les Harrison's one-man musical extravaganza and a nice outlet to share and push me to write new music.

Story behind the song
Metaphors are easier to handle than concrete reality sometimes.
Lyrics
Narcissus by Necessity I’ve become Narcissus by necessity—listening to myself constantly. At least I know someone is listening to me. . . lately it’s a rarity. I’m like Sisyphus without purpose—keep pushing this rock of the wreck of my life up a hill of a hell that we keep freezing with our accidentally cold hearts. This love’s become Hydra. . .we keep chopping off the heads of these rudderless dreams and thoughtless schemes. They keep sprouting up only to knock us down again. . .(is it) time to move on ‘cause we’ll never destroy her. . .never escape here? Narcissus by necessity—listening to myself constantly. Narcissus by design dousing myself in these crazy thoughts of mine (and) if it (this love) was ever real , it isn’t anymore. . . (and) We just can’t live our myth of love like before. When love disappears you are out of your head when love leaves you, all your gods are . . . When love disappears you are out of your head when love leaves you, all your gods are dead. Can I just write a new myth, that will (breathe life into the world and) create the beauty we’ve always wanted to see? One more myth to help us get along and set our souls together but completely free anything to stop me from being Narcissus by necessity. Narcissus by necessity. Narcissus by necessity. Narcissus by necessity.
