From San Clemente CA, The Stingrays formed in 1997 by then 13-year-old Will Heard, 13-year-old Scott Nelson , and 12-year-old Clay Campbell. After many shows and hard work The Stingrays quickly grew in the underground surf rock scene, making a name for themselves as a young energetic new skool surf band. They have played with a wide range of bands from surf legends, The Beach Boys and Dick Dale, to Joan Jett, Jack Johnson, Green Day, NOFX, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Suicide Machines, No Doubt and many more...........The Stingrays have toured all across the U.S. and Canada, even headlining the Tiki Stage on the 2000 Vans Warped Tour. The Stingrays Released their first full length in late 2000 entitled “Don’t Fear the Reverb” on Slimstyle records...........As of now The Stingrays are in the process of regrouping after a much needed vacation. You can look for them in the studio in early 06’ recording their much-anticipated follow up to Don’t Fear the Reverb along with many shows and a few acoustic dates.
