K.Summers Bio My name is Kristin Jean Humpleby known as K. Summer, I was born in San Bernardino California, but only recently have I found my way home. I’ve been singing since I was old enough to talk, I never turned back; I never cared to pursue anything else. As a child I lived a life much like that of a traveling gypsy, crossing the continent by land and sea. We were never in one place long enough for me to attend school, take music lessons or make friends Being inspired by singers such as Billy Holiday, Bill Withers and classic Mariah Carrie; I did the only thing I could, I wrote and sang. At the age of seventeen, I wrote my first actual song “Shadowcrush” while living in Virginia Beach. I also began performing in local nightclubs and bars before I was old enough to get in. By the time I was eighteen, I began doing studio work, singing hooks and writing for R&B singers and rappers. Then I met Science, which granted me unlimited access to the “Science Lab” to work exclusively with him on my own projects “Book of Matches” was originally going to be a five song demo, but, about thirty songs and four years later, I realized my addiction to create, and that there would never be an end to it I am self taught, and self trained. And as always, willing to do what ever it takes to succeed. I believe that life is a series of battles and fighting the wars within. Everything I’ve learned is based on personal observation. My religion is inspiration. The greatest thing any artist could ever hope, is to be inspired and to be validated, Otherwise, you never truly exist
