Story behind the song
Remember meeting that special someone in your life, that first song you danced to, the words you said, what each other was wearing........well this song doesn't remember any of that, cause we were just lost in each others eyes. That's right!! It was my first night playing in Grande Prairie and the whole band was exhausted, because we just finished playing the night before about 500km (300 miles, for those down south) away. I was normally a shy person so when, my wife (now) asked me to dance I was so nervous, I tried to make up for my nerves by talking through the whole dance. But I haven't got a clue what I said, nor does she. When we finished dancing I went back to my corner a hid until it was time to go back up on stage. Then afterwards during one of our breaks, her friend came up and said (my wife) wanted to know if I'd be interested in going for coffee with her later. I told her I would but, I was so tired that I wouldn't be of any real company to her. With that she went back to tell (my wife). At the end of the night (my wife) was still there so I went over and told her in person that I appreciated the offer, but maybe we could get together later in the week. She looked up at me and didn't have a clue what I was talking about. Her friend did this all as a joke. BUT HEY, THAT'S HOW IT HAPPENS SOMETIMES! Fate says, 'If you guys aren't going to get together yourselves, I'll have to figure out another way'.
