Welcome to Pi Land!
Welcome to Pi Land! I'm not trying to land a record deal or launch a music career here...just posting some homemade demos of songs I've written over the last 40 some odd years! I'm using a little Boss Recorder, Yamaha keyboard (mostly for drums) along with various guitars and mics. My original intent was to just record these songs quickly so that I could show them to other musicians then get in a real studio, but I've since learned that studio time is expensive and my personal time (and money) is limited. So...these demos may be all I ever get to record...no problem...I feel lucky that I can leave something behind for my kids and grand kids to remember me by...or at least give 'em a few laughs! Anyway, thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the other fine musicians on SoundClick! Jimmy

Story behind the song
Just a blues/rock song that I wrote...nothing against Arkansas or Alabama intended...there are inside stories that would explain better, but we don't have room here!
Lyrics
Well I’ve tasted Mother Nature; I’ve drank with Father Time Her hair was red and golden and he said he was a friend of mine I’ve been around enough to find…they’ll only bruise your worried mind. I spent some time in Arkansas hangin on a line I drove to Alabama once just to see what I could find I never go back anymore; I found what I was looking for There ain’t no doubt about it (chorus) I’ve had the nights and Lord I’ve seen the light Thought I’d tasted heaven but I never Never had nuthin like you I’ve gambled with my life; I’ve seen the wrong end of a knife They took me for a ride one time; it’s a wonder I’m alive I nearly made my worst mistake; and then I got a lucky break There ain’t no doubt about it…
