A remake of a tune written by Johnny Proctor. The song intro reminds me of The Monkees, however, the intro was extracted from the original version by John. The main guitar is my Gretsch Country Gentleman (on both the left and right channels).

Story behind the song
I auditioned the great music of Johnny Proctor (http://www.soundclick.com/pro/view/01/default.cfm?bandID=220644) and decided to cover "Yesterday Don't Matter". Little did I know I was over my head with the vocals. In any event I had some fun and learned something new.

Lovely guitar hook, that does have a recognisable Monkees sound to it. They were a band that everyone liked to put down as contrived, but hey ! they did do some great songs.(so did The Turtles!) This is very short sweet, but very catchy. Like it. You are a master of this type of pop.
