I currently work as a solo acoustic singer-songwriter guitarist. Would I call my genre "New Acoustic Music"? It's hard to say - I've got a rich variety of styles of material - some blues, folk, and jazzy sounding songs, country, religious. However, much of my material does not seem to fit into any pre-exisitng genres whatsoever, and I'm proud of that!

Story behind the song
I used to work for the Social Security Administration as an SSI (Supplemental Security Income) Claims Representative. SSI is a program that provides income assistance and medical insurance to people who are aged or disabled and have limited means.
