Out on the Island-
Northerly Island,
Sat a great airfield:
Known to us as Meigs!
Then in the darkness-
The trucks came upon us,
And tore up our runway
And left us with X's!
We will not be silenced
We gather together
Our protest we grant them
As we sing our anthem!

And classrooms and displays
