the two middle movements of my First Piano Sonata, written in 1975-76. Lyrical, kinda Gershwinny. Though not a conscious influence, I love George Gershwin's music, so I guess it seeped in there somewhere.

Welcome to my page here at Soundclick. I'm a guitarist and composer, jazz mostly but I do wander into some more eclectic things on occasion. Been retired from State of Illinois since 2014. Currently working with the group Ocean State, and booking my own trio/quartet things on occasion. Also working on a variety of recording projects from my 'home studio'. It's all good.

Story behind the song
I am a bit of a piano player myself, and love much of the piano music out there, so I wanted to write some of my own. At the time of writing this(1975-76, age 21-22), I liked Paul Hindemith's music quite a bit, and was listening pretty intently to the Glenn Gould recording of his 3 Piano Sonatas. Would love to go back and listen to them again.
