It's called Maximum Honky Tonk, and no one plays it like Bob Wire. Country, blues, rockabilly, folk, and some good ol' rock and roll. Honest, smart and funny.
Funniest blog on the web? Judge for yourself at NewWest.net/BobWire. You won't regret it. I swear. This is Butt-twitchin' country music for adults with a brain and a sense of humor! Bob Wire writes catchy, original songs with a twisted perspective that puts him way out in the left field of Nashvegas. Bob sez: Hank Jr. is the disease, and Hank Sr. is the cure.

Lyrics
Lying in my hooch, my body glistening with sweat I can hardly read this letter ‘cause the paper’s soaking wet Outside a teenage cowboy is selling cigarettes In Saigon I fire up a Winston and I read the words again She tells me that it’s over, she’s been with other men She wants me to forgive her, but I guess that all depends On Saigon That all depends on Saigon Chorus Oh the land of opportunity is here in Vietnam I know there’s nothing left for me back home Because I volunteered I’ll prob’ly never see the front So I’ll stake a little claim I’ll make myself a name In Saigon My DEROS is a year from now, I’m halfway through my hitch I need to go and score so I can scratch my little itch I think my trigger finger is developing a twitch In Saigon I’ve seen some things go down I can’t begin to comprehend This war is making monsters out of ordinary men It’s a nightmare and a circus and I hope it never ends In Saigon It never ends in Saigon Chorus Black market makes us money, and it doesn’t give a damn American or French or Thai, we’re equals here in ‘Nam We wouldn’t even be here were it not for Uncle Sam In Saigon The Tet Offensive’s finished, the Marines have had their fun Johnson stopped the bombing and he thinks the war is won But the day this city falls is the day I’ll eat my gun In Saigon Eat my gun in Saigon
