World music songwriting that transcends the single band.
World music songwriting that transcends the single band. Music made round the world from 1990-2002. These songs are my legacy material. My life is an experiential journey of my own design and some of the end result has been recorded and/or live music and spoken word. I play a variety of instruments and sing/talk. Most of the songs on this page date from my recordings between 1995's "4" (under the Moniker Mr. Chaos, in Detroit Michigan U.S.A.) through to 2002's "In Stereo" (with Add Lib Lounge, in Helsinki, Finland). There are also some glimpses here of 1997-9s "Mr. Chaos Trio" from Mid-Finland; 2000's Bahasa Mix, from Malaysia; and 2001's Jazz sessions from Helsinki (with the Black Tuesday Quartet); and 2004 activist bluegrass recordings against GW Bush's "No Child Left Behind" schooling initiative. I hope you enjoy it.

Story behind the song
Brilliant stars pierced the freezing night. Are we the only reality or do we "ride the atoms in a larger picture?" John Hammink - Acoustic guitars and vox; Pasi Oranen - Lead Guitar; Rude - Bass; Harri Kuikka, drums. Hannu - Rhodes Piano. Backup vocals by the Choir of Infinite Regression. :)
Lyrics
I wonder someday when I'm gonna fly Earth bound, while stars collide Sometimes I feel I'm passing by Petty grievances for which we die When beyond somewhere is the daze and wonder; Of galaxies torn asunder! We....are working it out :) I wonder somewho one is watching beside up at OUR sun in THEIR cold night skies? Do they think that they're the only Godmade- under celestial storms and cosmic rages? Is the universe the only mixture? Or...do we ride the atoms in a larger picture? Look to the sun when you're feeling small, It made you, me, itself, this world and other worlds! Look to the stars when you feel unsure, they made you, me, themselves, this world and other worlds! Lahtolahti, 12/96
