Billy Rubin was formed by Bob Pantella in late 2001, initially as an instrument for his own creativity. Having played in a number of bands over his career and maintaining a presence on the NJ scene, Bob was not with what he saw to be his choices and sought a vehicle to communicate his many ideas, eventually looking to form a band around this entity. The project was unnamed to begin with and yet after some connections were rekindled and calls made, along with a little consistent networking, a name was suggested by a divine moment and the current line-up came to be. The band as it is currently configured, continues to evolve at a rate hitherto unimagined by any of the members.
