"Most bands I come across seem to think THEIR band is unique; that they are SO different, and that ALL of their songs are individual gems that sound nothing alike. Until I hear them. And as the third or fourth song vaguely resembles the first and second ones, I realize their biased dispersions. But as music styles change and grow over the years, I remember thinking how I had yet to hear the term "Thrazz" which birthed an offspring of Thrash and Jazz, but that's just what Midwest favorites Logic's End set out to create with their first 5 song CD, "Flub-otomy," an impressive debut. But just recently with their newest CD release, "Will Work for Logic: Part 1 and 2," Logic's End has become a bombast of American pop culture expressed through diverse styles and colors. Taking stabs at everything from politics and porn to alchohol abuse, Logic's End leaves NO affiliations unscathed. Trying to determine what genre' they'll fit into will leave you scratching your head in awe, and pointing at your speakers in disbelief. Everything you've always LOVED or HATED about music is here. Blending Goth, Industrial, Folk, Metal, Jazz, Blues, Trance, Punk, New Age and 50's Sci-Fi, into an amalgam of tasteful hooks is what will grab you, and leave you wanting more. And not too shabby for just ONE GUY. Although special guest artists contributed to many of the songs, the real dynamo behind this vision, is surrealist artist, and drummer/vocalist/keyboardist Ted Ryback, whose tastes in music are as vast as the styles he attempts to display. Imagine Blue Man Group meets Salvador Dali, as the stage is pelted with energy, artistic imagery and offbeat piffle and flummery. Dr. Seuss couldn't have done it better himself. Want the next new thing in mind candy? Come and experience the end of musical logic as you know it." Bill Finn: Editor; Liquid Magazine

Story behind the song
Imagine that shmaltzy afternoon cocktail party, interrupted by 2 menacing derelects who always seem to make thier abrasive appearances quite the cry for attention, always resulting in violence, and destruction. Listen carefully as the sweet, soft, jazzy tone goes from precious to pummeling as their buzz comes out in full force. And in the 3rd verse, you can hear as the sane one instructs the other to "drop the knife." No wonder they never get called back, to have "Cocktails before 5:00." Most of my songs defy category, and this one was no exception, as I searched their "standard categories," but failed to find one called "Death/Lounge." Take a listen, and I'm sure you'll agree.
