Rose River has been playing together for the past two years. We spun off from our church group, and started with a great night at the Blue Cup Coffeehouse in Holmen. We sure aren't in it for the money. All the members have families, but find a way to get a gig three or four times a year, and we always have a blast. This site does have some of our original music, but we're 90% a cover band. Our mission is to play songs we like, and what a variety of tastes do we have. Tim is our leader, and comes with a strong cover band experience from his college days. Paula is our trained musician who can find a harmony in any song. Dave is the folky of the group bringing the mandolin and harmonica into the songs for texture. We also have Shelly who will find time to join us as the fourth vocalist and adds a great flute. Our song we love to cover that allows us all to shine is Van Morrison's Moondance. Besides bringing diverse music interests and training to the group, we also come from a wide area of Wisconsin. Tim is from Ashland, Dave is from Manitowoc, and Shelly and Paula are from the LaCrosse area.

Story behind the song
I was thinking about what I love most about women, tight denim and calico lace.... heck I'm old but I love the feel of cloth on a woman.
