Story behind the song

My friend, Ilya Gruszdev, one of the brightest young saxophonists in NY, asked me , if we could play something spontaneously at the singers contest in NY, so we chose this piece from Alain Caron's CD, I had in my car, wrote it down on a piece of paper and invited Boris Neiburger, the guitar player, to join us. This piece was played just once. Neither before, nor after, we never played together again.
