The Thaddeus Theorem is a songwriting project aimed at communicating the hope and joy that the Lord brings through our times of trouble and need. With St. Jude Thaddeus in mind as the patron saint, the music is emphatic of those in desperate, lost, or impossible situations, all the while reminding us that God is the answer to all of our causes when we think all is lost or hopeless.

Story behind the song
My friend Romi and I wanted to try and co-write some songs, so she graciously gave me this lyric with which to work. So I took the lyric, did some tweaking of my own with her permission, and this is what we have come up with... In Spite of Myself, I know that the GOD will me LOVE ALWAYS! :-)
Lyrics
“In Spite of Myself” Lyrics by Romi Kamberg & Mark McCabe Music by Mark McCabe Verse I: An ache in my heart Kept time with every beat of mine. I thought it was love But it was only lonely cries goodbye. Pre-chorus: So I turned to my closest friend, denial Who kept her promise to keep my heart in exile. Chorus: Until your love came my way Rescued my soul As I grow older now You see this pain on my face Wash it away By loving me once Loving me twice In spite of myself, loving me always. Verse II: It’s so hard to love me When I hide behind this veneer you see. Afraid and confused- Doing things I don’t feel, who gets used? Pre-chorus: Well I turned to my closest friend, denial Who kept her promise to keep my heart in exile. Chorus Bridge: You open up my eyes You bring back to life Your love awakens my heart again and again Again and again and again. Chorus © 2006 Romi Kamberg © 2006 Mark McCabe
