I am part of a great band called Campo Xanto, by November 2006 we will be 10 years old. It is a band that thinks like friends first before behaving like bandmates. A band that continues to follow its musical vision, despite all odds. Part of my life will always be Campo Xanto, that is why I will never quit on the band. At the same time I am trying to explore my individuality as an artist. So I'm making this solo project. Nothing profound, nothing deep just one of those brave/stupid freefall I do once in a while. :)

Story behind the song
The song is about a male prostitute who believes that the city is better than the rural town where he came from. Truth is, he is running away from a tragic memory, only to face it head on.
Lyrics
Barrio Boy This is what he's dreaming for The bright lights and the gone silences Unlike life in the barrios where the night waspurely black and mute The cars, the buildings, the pavements, the posts these are the things he love the most The movies are here, the tv is here, he's the action star, can't you hear him swear he say's someone's gonna find me put me on a harley meantime it's a 50 peso lease, the payment for the fun i give to these men who are in need they're not hard to please Chorus: Falli'n, I am falli'n into deep No ground's holdi'n Now I'm falling to this pit But I will land standing on my feet In the belly of the city slums he undresses the morning into night 7 a.m. , all is done he can finally, hopefully sleep ...and nightmares don't stop, buried thoughts move up and ricefields appear to be all soaked in blood in tears in faces that disappeared, the place that he really cared for, until he got so scared when his family was massacred From what he had heard, it was the town mayor's herd that took the land they tilled Fears were silk umbrellas in the bullet rain He awoke with the pain he can never wash of these stains Chorus: Falli'n, I am falli'n into deep No ground's holdi'n Now I'm falling to this pit But I will land standing on my feet And then one night, revenge was ignited A harley appeared with his mayor on it mounted He was after him for a different reason, The city was cold and barrio boy knew the intention And so he road on the harley in a second he forgot the city... He heared the cry of his family, promising everything for a small mercy but the guns were deaf and mute they blown away He felt the wind claw his skin, back to his senses he knew they were burning more gasoline, he wrapped his arms around the mayor's head he and said, "Im good as dead let's call this the end opver there on that good looking bend Chorus: Falli'n, I am falli'n into deep No ground's holdi'n Now I'm falling to this pit But I will land standing on my feet
