"The Lost and Found" So much the mind has to remember which way to go and who is who Sadly each and every memory doesn't find it's way through The merry-go-round In this space full of hope and dream where silence is hearing sound all the fragments of a broken thought are seeing blindness all around Life's a merry-go-round to the lost and found Build it and they will come Wish it and it will be Help put the puzzle together and find a cure for this disease Life's a merry-go-round Life's a merry-go-round Life is a merry-go-round To the lost and found If I could fly on a wing of a one wing angel If I could hold the magic wand to understand the fabel Life's a merry-go-round to the lost and found If I could fly on a wing If I could fly on a wing If I could fly on a wing of a one wing angel Life's a merry-go-round, it's a merry-go-round it's a merry-go-round to the lost and found. Build it and they will come Wish it and it will be... ©2005 Words and music written and performed by Carol Sue Kirkpatrick. Alzheimers disease can infect anyone. Words & music written & performed by Carol Sue Kirkpatrick. Special thanks to Andy Foyston for his orchestration! To my mother Carolyn Christeen Whiteside who lives in what I refer to as the merry-go-round, (the mind) the lost and found. (Alzheimers) Alzheimers disease can affect everyone and can infect anyone. In the beginning stages of Alzheimers my mother participated in a study to help find a cure. She proudly said she wanted to do her part! She did not want her children, grandchildren or anyone for that matter to get this unforgiving disease. I imagine my mother (with Alzheimers) as an angel, rather a one wing angel that cannot fly. She deserves to fly, as does anyone that has lost or will lose something so precious and dear as their memories. I donate any profits from this song to the Alzheimers Association to "find" that cure! "Mom, I want to do my part too." I love you, Carol Sue Kirkpatrick. Special thanks to my sister Jo Ann for making the purple scarf that you see on the songs image, and to my niece Jessica for drawing the one wing angel holding the puzzle piece which is "The Lost and Found" logo. Thank you for believing! I love you both! :) This song hit #2 in the official mp3unsigned charts the week of September 4, 2006. :)
