Cosmic Grind was an avant-garde instrumental psychedelic art-rock trio formed in 1992 in West Milford, NJ. They had a ton of success locally, and built up a large and voracious following in the mid-90's. Their tendency toward long, elaborate compositions and a continual outpouring of new material kept people interested, and the band flourished, drawing large crowds in New York City and North Jersey clubs and other venues. The band broke up in 1997, and though primarily a live experience, they left behind a legacy of recorded music that can be heard here.

Story behind the song
Mike was looking at a folded up newspaper, and he saw the words 'a cue stick, Sunday' written on it. Later, he proposed it as a name for the band, claiming it had some kind of spiritual significance or something. The band thought it was a jolly good name for a song, and the rest is history.
Lyrics
Cosmic Grind believes that the lack of lyrics in their songs made them more accessible to people; that people can apply the feeling of each song to themselves, and relate it to something in their lives without having the constraints of words to impede their personal creativity.
