Here's my blog!!! Enjoy the read!!! http://closer-than-your-heartbeat.blogspot.com/ Hey, y'all! I've found CCLI to be a very useful tool. And it's the only way songwriters are paid by churches for their loving labor:) (and, yes, churches are trusted to record which songs are used!!!!) I'd like to encourage my songwriting friends to join CCLI and keep the records up-to-date...the songs I've received royalties for were not my favorite songs...or voted most likely to succeed!!! They are simple songs of faith!!! Your reward in Heaven will be great...yes...the scripture does say that... but it also says something about being worthy of your hire!!! It's ok to receive cents/per song/per use...it's ok to reCEIVE that blessing!!!! CCLI's Vision: To establish a strong communication network serving the Body of Christ, which enables the dispensing of comprehensive and valuable informational, inspirational resources, both primary and secondary in origination. CCLI's Mission Statement: To encourage the spirit of worship through music to the local church collectively and to Christians individually, so that they may enhance their worship expression spontaneously, conveniently, affordably, and legally. Here are some songs I have listed with CCLI...the lyrics are available through CCLI. I am working on posting all of these songs here on shoutlife. www.ccli.com Arise And Shine (c)2006 Eva J. Story behind the song
My cousin, Charles Bell wrote and performed this song...thanks, Charlie, for permission to share it! He explains the story behind the song: Estoy seguro in Spanish means a couple of things. That complex meaning is what I was looking for when I wrote the song. It means "I am sure/safe/secure". While we were in Argentina, I had my church and also helped teach at our seminary. There were a number of very musically talented young men that would come over to our house and practice. We talked about the need to write songs as a next step in their developing their music skills. I actually wrote this little song as an example for them of how we can write simple catchy songs that carry doctrine. If people are singing these little songs around the house, they are reinforcing their beliefs.
Lyrics
The translation of the Spanish words: I am sure/safe/secure in the hands of my Father. In the hands of my Father I am sure/safe/secure. (Repeat) There's nothing that can take me/rip me from His care. There's nothing that can take me/rip me from His love. There's nothing that can take me/rip me from His hands. In the hands of my Father, I am sure/safe/secure. English part: I am safely kept in the hands of my father In His careful watch I know He sees me. I am safely kept in the hands of my father Nothing in this world can keep Him from me. There's no fear that He might just walk away. His love and care will always guide me through. Nothing can separate me from my Father's love. Because in His loving hands estoy seguro.
