Just a Lyric writer
Hi I'm Noel and I write poetry, ballads, and lyrics. The songs here are collaborations I've taken part in. I mostly either only write the lyric or collaborate on the lyric but occasionally I will do a melody too.
If you are interested in using any of the songs here, please feel free to contact me.
I am also looking for songwriters who are interested in my kind of lyrics to collaborate with.
Lyrics
Where are you now?
by Noel Downs copyright (25 Feb 01)
In a quiet reminisce, of earlier years,
A sea of memories, of joy and tears.
Picking through the pieces, the jigsaw of my mind,
Taking time to ponder, each new painful find.
Chorus
If ever there was peace, so easily to be found,
I wouldn't need to ask, where are you now?
Things best forgotten, like words best unsaid,
Swirling all about, conflict inside my head.
Like hands on a clock, as they slowly move,
And inevitably cycle, round to point at you.
Chorus
If ever there was peace, so easily to be found,
I wouldn't need to ask, where are you now?
Bridge
Endless time in waiting, for words we never say,
It was to be forever, but didn't work that way.
Though parting wasn't easy, it taught me a lot,
I hope I am forgiven, for all that was my fault.
Now finally at ease, in life with - out you,
Vainly I wonder, if you think of me too,
Chorus
If ever there was peace, so easily to be found,
I wouldn't need to ask, where are you now?
