Story behind the song
david - it's a ska/punk song, there isn't much more to it than that, the lyrics are again me being bitter, and have been mildly rewritten since the recording of this song Ryan ~ i really like this song. it's lacking something going from the end of the bridge to the chorus coming out of the ska and cymbal work. the key change rocks!!! Dustin-I think this is a good song. But it is boring and repetative. It needs alot of work. The lyrical content is great(kudos David, kudos), and the choras and key change could singal handedly carry it to greatness. We just need to pick up the slack on the other parts and I think we could turn this song from "good" to spectacular!.
Lyrics
we turned our backs to walk away, this is nothing like yesterday i know you don't know what this means but we're no longer 17 treat the world now like a song where you're always saying nothings wrong it's locked so deep dark in your head while you're all alone in your bed, and they say, "what's your name" you scream, "Aaron, the castaway" so if these songs break down to words and everything goes on unheard would you be the same have you ever learned that if something gets broken then someone gets hurt, you think it's done give me a break there's nowhere left for goodness sake the only place to go is down and i don't know how we'll get around, actions speak louder than words, oh no i guess you never learned, you'll only end up getting burned, i guess it's none of my concern why you're down here to stay, say, "i don't know," and run away, i know you're stuck in place where you thought that you could stay, but there's nowhere left to go
