Just last week I bought a used car
Hidden in the trunk was an old guitar
Came with a case and extra strings
A lot of other very strange things
It had built in songs about done me wrong
Not a lot about getting along
A coupla tunes about livin in sin
But not a single hymn about following him
Heard songs about love
Songs about war
Songs about breakin up
And givin what for
Not once did I hear
About kids the price they pay
For doin what we do
