Adult alternative rock. Songwriting served as a therapeutic release from an ex-lover's hypnotic spell, as well as a celebration of setting oneself free from a seriously flawed romantic folly. Recorded in 2008.

Singer/songwriter, recording artist, multi-instrumentalist, producer, arranger, and recording engineer. Record releases by IRL Records & Otter River Records.
I currently perform as a solo artist and singer/songwriter. All of my recordings were recorded, mixed, and produced from start to finish in my home studio. My original songs are somewhat eclectic but I would generally categorize them as a fusion of rock, blues, folk/country, funk, and jazz.

Story behind the song
This therapeutic songwriting slipped out rather effortlessly (yet rewardingly) very easily just after the end of a relationship gone south. It's tough playing the knight in shining armor when the damsel has grown cold and turned mean and abusive.
Lyrics
(Verse 1) He went down - down on his knees Tried his best - just to please And satisfy - all her desires Even sacrificed his power to lift her higher CHORUS: Now she’s never coming back And he’s feeling light cause he knows that it’s right She’s never coming back No chance for her to pick another fight She’s finally gone and the dragon’s free to fly Again tonight (Verse 2) He really believed - she was his dream And so she let him - as it fit her scheme But his dream - got caught in a mire And the dragon fell from the sky all afire (Repeat Chorus) (Verse 3) She’s just a devil - in a cute disguise Spinning out - her deceitful lies Turned her back - and let him cry She left with a cold heart and a dry eye (Repeat Chorus)
