Hippy Dye Cowboy is an idea, a band, a dream, some music, some friends, and a recording project. It also stays crispy in milk and goes well with a nice, dark honey porter. The band, as such, is comprised of several people who have collaborated on both musical and lyrical content. These efforts are then collected by Todd; the work is distilled and coaxed into a final product. While not a band in the traditional sense, it doesn't truly fall into the category of "solo act". None of the music would exist without the contributions of the whole.

Story behind the song
Written while travelling through New England and New York City in 1996. A realization about living & enjoying life; the things you run from are often the very things you should be embracing.
Lyrics
I can feel my own way, Stone and steel hold me sway, Going downtown once again, Drink a cup with my old friends, Is this real, or is it me? ****** Food for my life; turn my blood to wine, Smoke fills my lungs, my hair, my mind, I've got your love behind me, now I feel fine... ****** Driving through a sea of trees, On the road the air breathes me, Going nowhere scenes fly past, I couldn't care now, more or less, If this is real, or is it me? ****** Home is where you find that you belong, Love is where you make it, nothing wrong, Hold my head up; dance across the sky, Let the world consume me one more time! Now my feet hit the stage, Forest floor; false spring day, I shout to no one, let it pass, The sun is bright now, hope it lasts, It's not real, but who can see? ****** ****** Copyright (c) 1996, Todd C.
