contemporary christian
I wrote this as a sending song for the youth group I work with to be sung at the end of our gatherings together. It is a reminder that we are blessed by God so that we might go out into the world and be a blessing to others (a la God's comment to Abraham in Genesis 22). As opposed to keeping all our blessings for ourselves.
I also tried to connect this OT concept with the NT concept that we are fellow partners with God in helping bring about God's reign (or kingdom) here on earth.

Lyrics
Part A:
We are blessed that we may be
a blessing to all nations.
We are blessed that we may be
a blessing to our world.
We are blessed that we may be the hands of God
to all creation to reveal His loving presence
as God's kingdom is unfurled. (REPEAT A)
Part B:
If we will share all that we own
to do God's will
our world will be transformed.
If we will care (this is where I revised the melody)
for pain we're shown,
then we'll be helping bring God's kingdom home.
(REPEAT Part A one more time)
