Mostly acoustic, genre's attempted include: Folk, Blues, Rock, Funk, Jazz, Pop, comedy Usually a mix of all that stuff.
The deal with soundclick is that I really use it more as an archive these days than any sort of promotional tool - i.e. it's not updated anywhere near as often, I don't really log in much either. so if you wish to communicate or for more action though you should head to myspace: www.myspace.com/hotshackett Yeah. I have finished an E.P, you can hear most of it over there at myspace or the whole thing at mp3.com.au/scotthackett . Might put it here eventually.

Story behind the song
I've sent it off to a friend to see what she can do for it with keys, and also to the guitarist in my band to see if he wants to add anything to it but I'm actually pretty happy with how it's turned out with the drums and I don't know if it's necessary to add much more.
Lyrics
Sitting alone on the shelf, The other drinks all keep their distance from you. Plenty of time to reflect, The use by date hangs like a weight on your neck. Not that much longer to go. You’ve seen variants come and go, From Diet with Lemon to Diet with Lime, But how were you supposed to know, what the Boys up in marketing had left in store? The monster that they call Coke Zero. The contents are almost the same, But a black label Combined with a Much better Ad Campaign, Sells… You’re watching your sales take a fall, As Coke Zero practically runs out the door. Can’t help but feel obsolete, as you Sit untouched in the fridge week after week. Oh, Obsolete Oh, Diet Coke The contents are almost the same, Food acid 330 vs. 331. The contents are almost the same, But a black label Combined with a Much better Ad Campaign, Sells…
